Metadata Architect

As a Meta Data Architect I, you are a member of PNC's Enterprise Information Management organization of more than 150 professionals. PNC's enterprise information management operations are among the most sophisticated in their field. You will be based in USX Building Pittsburgh, PA . The primary responsibilities of the position are as follows:

I. Provides technical leadership in the requirements gathering, design, and construction of enterprise data assets. Provides leadership for LOB users on the usage of metadata to teams to ensure functional and non-functional information requirements are delivered in a manner that effectively and efficiently scales to enterprise use (1000's of users).

II. Communicates and socializes the benefits of model-driven data warehouse development, including IBM's Banking Data Warehouse Model, Application Solution Templates, and Business Solution Templates.

III. Provides technical and thought leadership in the development of enterprise information management standards, policies and procedures, including data warehousing, data governance, database design, ETL, BI and metadata management.

IV. Demonstrated experience in delivering data-centric or data warehousing projects. Must be familiar with a broad set of disciplines related to data management and integration efforts within an enterprise I/T environment. (data architecture, database design, BI, ETL, metadata management).

Job Requirements

4-year degree in Computer Sciences, MIS, or related field of study, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 7 years experience in software development with three (3) or more years experience in a senior role
Minimum of 2 years of experience leading a development team
Experience with all aspects of application design, development, testing and deployment, with strong architectural and design skills.
Experience with mainframe application systems development, mainframe environments, and mainframe data storage
Experience with integration technologies within an enterprise environment including integration of distributed and mainframe application systems and data
Experience with data modeling and data reporting design and development
