Job Description
The Primary focus of this position is to:
- Drive continuous improvement in Product Quality and Reliability in a timely manner.
- Prioritize field Q & R issues and guide the CPM and Platform teams to develop action plans to drive improvement in Quality & Reliability, including Warranty cost and repair frequency.
- Measure, analyze and report warranty performance indicators for NA Ag Products. This includes warranty spending/CORF and MERF trends and pertinent data analysis to drive product Q & R improvement.
- As a member of the Current Product Management (CPM) Team, serve as the primary filter for product field quality and reliability issues. This includes properly identifying and defining the issues, validation through field information (ASIST), warranty systems and prioritization. Furthermore, assist in root identification and solution development, as needed.
- As a member of the extended Platform Team; assist in determining the strategic direction of new products in areas of field quality and reliability, fitness for use, and customer satisfaction based on current product performance.
- Support the CPM process in driving timely and focused execution of action plans to ensure significant improvements are made in Quality and Reliability of the product.
Principle Accountabilities: - Understand completely the function and customer expectations of the product.
- Develop and maintain prioritized information regarding field quality and reliability issues, consistent with the practices of CPM. Inputs are derived from warranty focus lists, dealer contact (ASIST) data provided by TSS, Field Service, as well as, dealer and customer contact when required.
- Work with Current Product Teams and Platforms and to drive reduction in warranty (PDI, Early Hour, 3MIS & 12MIS - ACPU/MTBF/RPH MERF & CORF).
- Global Warranty System (GWR) knowledge source for Current Products. This includes supplying warranty tracking / trend analysis data (ACPU/MTBF MERF & CORF) on a regular basis.
- Assist with developing Warranty budget accrual rates for current products. Work with PQP Specialists to set objectives on Warranty for new products.
- Identify requirements for both Campaigns and Extended Warranty Programs. Initiate, submit and track approval, monitor and close. Campaigns/Programs and issue an addendum when required. Primary facilitator of Early Warning Team (EWT) per EW Process.
- Provide Product Support with assistance to resolve customer issues, as required.
- Provide technical information to Technical Service Support group for Service Bulletins and Field support as required.
- Support Product Management to identify fitness-for-use (FFU) issues impacting customer satisfaction, as required.
- Generate Warranty statistics, R/100 and ACPU (CORF & MERF) on a regional basis for Ag. products.
- Provide and interpret standard focus list(s) on a regional/global basis for Ag. products.
- Support CPM Teams to drive supplier recovery as needed.
Requirements - Bachelors Degree is required. Degree in engineering or related technical field is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experience with automotive, agricultural or construction equipment.
- Working knowledge of Statistical tools.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Self-starter with ability to drive results
- Agricultural product and plant manufacturing knowledge preferred.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Ability to travel 20-40% is required for this role.
