Risk Manager - Basel II Advanced Measurement Approach

The individual selected will manage a staff of risk officers dedicated to defining, building, and implementing Business Environment and Internal Control Factors (BEICF) and scenario analysis framework enhancements for the enterprise.

Evaluate industry best practices for Business Environment and Internal Control Factors and scenario analysis and defining a framework strategy that is aligned with PNC's corporate culture and risk management philosophy. Partner with Strategic Analytics personnel to define how Business Environment and Internal Control Factors and scenario analysis process outputs will be utilized in the operating risk capital modeling methodology. Define and Implement policy enhancements to align with the established Business Environment and Internal Control Factors and scenario analysis framework.

Define and implementing the tools and methodology to deliver Business Environment and Internal Control Factor components (i.e., risk and control self assessments, key risk indicators, internal control assessments) and scenario analysis processes that meet Basel II Advanced Measurement Approach requirements while also ensuring alignment with business value and usability. Develop the implementation strategy for the BEICF and scenario analysis frameworks. Ongoing interactions with regulatory agencies to facilitate examinations and reviews of PNC's operating risk management and Basel II Advanced Measurement Approach frameworks

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications :

Bachelor’s Degree required, Graduate Degree preferred with at least seven years experience in financial services with at least three years in risk management, mergers & acquisitions, strategic planning, audit, compliance or regulatory relations.

Working knowledge of Basel II Advanced Measurement Approaches operational risk requirements and experience in developing related framework is highly desirable.

Strategic understanding of business & ability to achieve alignment on tactical issues and results. Strong analytical abilities and critical and perceptive judgment. Extensive understanding of risk and the impact on the organization. Strong verbal/written communications and interpersonal and planning skills. Able to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization. Fosters collaborative interaction with auditors and examiners. Organizational leadership and management.
