Job Summary
Drexel University's Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering invites applications for a Research Scientist to assist in managing project and scientific research.
Extensive research has shown that inhalation exposure of particulate matter by building occupants can have impacts on human health, for instance due to their impacts on cardiovascular functioning (e.g., in the case of indoor particles of outdoor origin) or due their being pathogens (e.g., in the case of SARS-CoV-2 leading to COVID-19 disease transmission). This position will require an indoor air quality and CFD modeling specialist to develop simulation tools to predict the impact of UV disinfection on SARS-CoV-2 inactivation indoors.
The Research Scientist will officially work in the Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering and will be supervised by Dr. Michael Waring and Dr. Charles Haas.
