Overview

The Private Client Relationship Officer reports directly to the Private Client Manager. The Private Client Relationship Officer proactively supports and expands existing client relationships through independently identifying and developing new Business & Consumer Banking relationships through activities that primarily target prospective high-net-worth clients. Banking products and services supporting client relationships include interest-bearing and non-interest-bearing deposit account products complemented by a full suite of treasury management and payment processing services to support the financial management needs of both consumer & business clients. Where appropriate, the Private Client Relationship Officer will support the borrowing needs of consumer & business relationships by referring clients to the Bank's C&I, CRE and residential lending resources. Private Client Relationship Officers will deliver "white glove service" to deepen client trust & loyalty by creating a seamless experience across all touchpoints while providing the right service or product to meet individuals' needs.

Responsibilities
    Identify new business and consumer client prospects
  • Leverage all COIs to increase business and consumer banking opportunities
  • Responsible for the attainment of non-interest and interest bearing deposits
  • Attainment of assigned deposit goals
  • Work independently to develop new client relationships
  • Coordinate with related departments to review client situations and determine appropriate products and services to offer and to deliver an integrated and seamless experience for high-net-worth clients
  • Build a quality external network of business and consumer relationships within targeted markets
  • Provide end-to-end comprehensive guidance and banking solutions to clients by uncovering their consumer and/or business priorities and matching them with financial solutions to meet their needs
  • Stay abreast of changing trends that impact applicable markets served by potential clients and translate those trends into opportunities
  • Provide extensive personalized service to clients to address all applicable banking needs
  • Establish exceptional rapport with clients to identify needs and opportunities, present product solutions, overcome objections and close the sale by asking for the business
  • Participate in community activities that match clients' interests and allow for opportunities to expand business and personal relationships
  • Represent the bank at various civic and community functions to enhance its image and develop additional business with clients
  • Work closely with new and existing business and retail clients to understand their financial needs, forging trustful relationships
  • May assist with the development of new business by participating in client and/or prospect calls and presentations
  • Establish relationships with high-net-worth clients to monitor financial situation and identify client needs resulting in new sales opportunities
  • In the performance of respective duties, must maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act regulations and all other regulatory, security and bank policies
  • Achieve outstanding performance by providing superior relationship banking and the "white glove" client experience
  • Complete any additional duties assigned by the Private Client Manager
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent
  • Minimum of three to five years related experience or equivalent
  • Proven success in consultative outside sales in financial services, business-to-business sales, or small business banking
  • Is passionate about outside sales and enjoys spending time prospecting
  • Self-motivated to enhance existing relationships and exceed sales goals
  • Able to analyze financial conditions and needs of clients and industry trends
  • Can understand and interpret financial statements and cash flow analysis
  • Has excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability
  • Strong listening and client experience skills; skilled in making outbound calls
  • Ability to effectively engage with clients and identify needs to enhance the client relationship
  • Ability to problem solve and provide solutions to client issues
  • Desire to build strong relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaboration
  • Self-motivated, confident and the ability to multitask effectively
  • Well-developed negotiation, project, and account management skills
