LEAN MANUFACTURING ANALYST

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Data mining across various systems with analysis of planning and production data.
  • Leads development and deployment of visual management reports, dashboards, and tools to support production goals.
  • Recommend process improvements using data analysis, lean manufacturing tools, and visual process controls to optimize labor resources, reduce lead time and eliminate waste.
  • Simplify data reports and systems for managing the production floor and other functional areas.
  • Creates data models and scenario planning for demand, market, and mix changes.
  • Analyze manufacturing and demand data to improve processes and monitor progress to target with measurable results.
  • Integrate appropriate tool use into recommendations (flow, quality, lead time, changeovers, waste elimination)
  • Activity engaged in ensuring a safe workplace and continually emphasizes importance of safety.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Four-year college degree in Information Technology or related field required.
  • Advanced computer skills -SQL, SAP, database experience, dashboard development.
  • Mathematical skills to analyze data sets and develop production models.
  • Modeling experience using historic and forecast data for capacity planning.
  • 3+ years proven experience extrapolating, analyzing, and organizing data into reports, business cases and management tools.
  • Process mapping and value stream mapping.
  • Work in SAP and legacy system environment.
  • Business Intelligence (BI) experience.
  • Prior knowledge and practical experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting with a focus on Lean Manufacturing operations.
  • Financial acumen - work with financial reports and development of business cases.
  • Knowledge of MES preferred.
  • Ability to analyze and organize data from various functions into management reports and dashboards.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
