U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management service, is seeking a General Maintenance Mechanic for its Camden NJ location - The Salvation Army Kroc Center.

The Maintenance Mechanic is a fully functioning position primarily in the general building trade area (light plumbing, bulb changing, drywall repairs and painting). This position's focus will be on performing preventative maintenance and repairs, diagnosing / troubleshooting maintenance issues, performing a variety of facilities related repairs, and minor fabrications.

Additionally, this position requires weekend hours (Sat/Sun) - with Thursday and Friday off.

Tasks may include maintenance, repairs and assisting the Building Engineer, as well as other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Responsibilities:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience performing general building maintenance
  • Ability to prep, paint, and touch up surfaces
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance, installations, diagnose/repair and troubleshoot equipment
  • A demonstrated history of being a dependable and cohesive team member
  • Required to work weekend schedule as a regular work week: Saturday through Wednesday
  • Comply with all company safety regulations
  • Effectively communicate issues to the project manager
  • Respond to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion
  • Follow written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager or clients
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team and contractors as needed
  • Use equipment, including power tools and hand tools
