Provision of public health nursing services to meet the objectives of the Division of Clinical Services. Deliver direct patient care in both the public health centers, out in the community, as well as within client homes to accomplish the goals of the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program, Immunization Program, Tuberculosis Control Program, STD/HIV Program, Community Mass Vaccination Campaigns and other public health programs.
This is considered an Essential Position within the Office of Public Health. Essential Employees are obligated to report to work as scheduled or remain at work during emergencies. Essential employees carry out essential job functions or assigned emergency duties which may involve assignments within the Department Operations Center, Emergency Operations Center, deployment to a field location to participate in public health activities, or other duties as required during periods of emergency. If received, emergency assignments may be performed under adverse conditions and continues for periods ranging from a few hours to several weeks, months, etc.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
