Job Description

The Department of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Cancer Biology in the Sidney Kimmel Medical College seeks applications for research-intensive tenure-track faculty at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor for a Division of Physiology.Responsibilities will include teaching, research and service to the Department, College and University. Specific expertise in the area of Physiology is desired. Specific areas of interest include but are not limited to G protein-coupled signaling in metabolic diseases, pyroptosis in cardiac dysfunction, and endocrine regulation of cardiomyocytes.

The Pharmacology, Physiology, and Cancer Biology Department is affiliated with the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, which supports state-of-the-art central facilities including flow cytometry, X-ray crystallography, and Cryo-EM, genomics, cell and animal bio-imaging, and biosafety level 2 and 3 facilities for tissue culture and animals.

Applicants must have a PhD degree in Physiology or related discipline, significant post-doctoral research experience, and publications in peer-reviewed international scientific journals or equivalent.Previous teaching experience in Physiology-related areas is desirable.

Appointees will receive a generous start-up package and a salary commensurate with their rank and experience.
