Job Description

InGenesis is currently seeking a Forensic Psychiatrist to work with our client in New Castle, DE. In this role, you will perform in-depth psychotherapy and counseling.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct diagnostic interviews and physical examinations to ascertain the physical and mental state of the individual.

* Develop psychiatric diagnostic evaluations.

* Participate as a member of a treatment team to develop appropriate treatment plan/discharge plans.

* Administer therapy in accordance with the treatment plan.

* Monitor progress of the individual and responses to treatment.

* Provide clinical direction to residents and medical students.

* Provide expert testimony or prepare opinions for court.

* Maintain accurate medical records and prepares reports.

* Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

* Current licensure as an M.D. or D.O with the state of Delaware, or eligibility for a Delaware license.

* Certification as a specialist in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

* 3+ years of experience in the practice of Psychiatry.

* 6 months experience in health or human services program administration.

* 6 months experience in developing policies and procedures.

* Knowledge of staff supervision acquired through course work, training, or supervising staff.
